We, at Augment General Counsel (“Augment”), considered the privacy of the individuals providing us information with utmost importance. We follow and comply all the relevant privacy laws in safeguarding and preserving the personal information we collected and/or communicated by the individuals.

As a rule, our website does not require for our visitors to provide us any information in order for the visitors to have access to our website. Where our visitors desire to engage our services, to ask for Augment’s information and/or apply for a job, we may ask our visitors to provide us with personal information. Personal information is any information which identifies the subject data, and this includes information like visitors’ names, addresses and phone numbers.

Augment does not also require our visitors to give sensitive personal information.

In general, we collect and store personal information from our visitors to help us provide excellent service, consider applicants for the job, provide information about Augment and use for other legitimate purposes. The personal information collected is retained by us only for a period necessary in fulfilling the purpose for which it was collected and/or for as long as permitted by relevant and applicable privacy laws.

Personal information is collected through visiting our website, wherein visitor’s IP address may be collected and the time and date of said visit. For visitors who wants to engage the service of Augment or wants to apply for a job with Augment, we may require visitors to give basic personal information, which includes name, address, phone number and email address. Aside from the information collected through website visit, Augment may collect information through interviews and/or meetings either made in person or through telephone call.

Use

For situations where the visitors request for information about Augment, we may use visitors’ information given to provide the visitors the information requested from Augment in relation to our services. If, however, the visitors want to engage Augment’s services and/or thereafter the visitors become Augment’s clients, we may use the information collected in research, planning, service development, risk management and/or fulfil whatever legal obligation Augment may have with the visitors/clients and/or if required under the relevant privacy laws.

With regard to information collected from job applications, personal information may be used for: i.) assessment of visitors’ qualifications to the job applied for; ii.) check work rights status with any government department or body (or their agents); iii.) criminal reference checking with relevant government agencies; and iv.) other uses necessary in the selection and hiring process of job applicants.

Disclosure

All information collected by Augment is for its own use and Augment will not disclose such personal information to any third person, unless visitors have given their consent to such disclosure, or if Augment is required to disclose the same under the relevant laws, or if ordered by any court or tribunal and/or if necessary to protect the rights and interests of Augment.

Cross-border Transfer

Augment has offices located in Australia, Singapore and Philippines. The information voluntarily provided by the visitors to Augment may be transferred to the said locations in order to carry out and fulfil the use and purpose for which the said information was collected and/or as required by relevant and applicable privacy laws.

IV. Security

Augment implements reasonable steps and appropriate measures to ensure that all personal information collected from visitors either through the website or interviews are protected from any loss, misuse, interference and/or unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.

Augment has a secured office and computerised database, which require a log in and password to gain access. Only authorized Augment employees may access such personal information either those keep in Augment’s office or computerised database. Augment employees are bound by a confidentiality agreement in relation to Augment’s information and information from Augment’s clients and website visitors. Nonetheless, it is a well-known fact that information transmitted through the internet is not completely and absolutely secure hence, personal information provided by visitors on Augment’s website is taken at their own risks.

V. Right to Correct Information

Augment will take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information provided for by the visitors are accurate, complete and up-to- date. In case the visitors found or have reason to believe that the personal information that Augment hold (concerning such visitor) is inaccurate, incomplete or wrong, the visitor concerned has the right to contact Augment (in Augment’s Contact Us section of the website) and request for the correction thereof.

The visitors’ use of our website or provision of personal information to us constitutes visitors’ acceptance of the terms of this Privacy Policy.
